Super Evil Megacorp announces strategic partnership with Razer to advance mobile esports
Two leading brands in esports to collaborate on multiple esports events, including invitational tournament and Vainglory World Championship.
December 7, 2017, San Mateo, California – Super Evil Megacorp, creators of Vainglory, the world’s leading mobile esport, announced a strategic partnership with, Razer™, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, to further advance mobile esports. Razer recently announced the Razer Phone, Razer’s first smartphone designed as the ultimate mobile entertainment device for gamers.
Super Evil Megacorp and Razer have already collaborated on multiple promotional activities, such as the Razer Phone launch in partnership with UK carrier Three in London, the launch event at Razer’s flagship store in San Francisco, and at Razer’s booth at DreamHack Winter 2017 in Sweden. The strategic relationship starts with a Vainglory competitive event at the Microsoft Store in New York City and Razer joining the Vainglory World Championship 2017 as title sponsor.
The Vainglory World Championship will be held at the Kallang Theater in Singapore from December 14th to 17th and will feature the twelve best Vainglory teams from all over the world. Singapore is home to both Vainglory and Razer- where Vainglory’s alpha version Kindred was first launched, and also home city to Razer’s Co-Founder and CEO, Min-Liang Tan.
The Vainglory World Championship will also be the first ever global unveiling of Vainglory’s anticipated 5V5 mode, which will bring undiluted, no-compromises 5V5 gameplay to mobile, featuring incredible graphics with 3 million polygons and over 200 fully animated actors, rendered at up to 120FPS on all compatible devices.

The Microsoft Store in New York City will host a Vainglory community invitational tournament on December 9th, played on Razer Phones, to be streamed on twitch.tv/razer and free to watch for store visitors. Razer will also hold a Razer Phone launch event at the same location on December 16th, which will be open to the public. Today, Super Evil Megacorp also launched Vainglory’s update 2.11, featuring the new brawl mode Onslaught, the new hero Varya the Storm Princess, and three new hero skins, including Championship Catherine which will be available to all fans who watch the Vainglory World Championship online, in-person, and at Coca-Cola viewing parties.
