Major Title Update patch notes

Hey Turtle Fans!

Thank you for joining us on this journey! Your incredible support and feedback have kept us motivated to make TMNT: Splintered Fate the best game it can be. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to deliver our biggest free update since launch, and it’s packed with surprises!

This Major Title Update introduces the brand-new Arcade Mode, a fresh game mode full of unpredictable challenge runs, the Hex and Flex system, new biomes, Wraith enemies, and endless fun. Even better, we’ll be rolling out more Arcade Mode updates soon, so stay tuned!

You’ll also discover a new storyline, “Pizza in Peril,” which unlocks a narrative arc tied directly into Arcade Mode. Head to the Turtle Lair and talk to Metalhead to kick things off!

The new storyline also brings Robotics Powers, offering exciting new ability combinations for all characters to experiment with in their runs.

And that’s not all: we’ve added over 100 improvements across the game, including visual upgrades, balance adjustments, bug fixes, and a fresh wave of polish.


PATCH NOTES



ARCADE MODE

Arcade Mode is a brand new way to play, designed for quicker runs and high octane power.

  • Start your run by entering a new portal* in the Home Lair that will take you to “Metalhead’s Lab”-- there you can choose a Challenge across one of 3 new Biomes– Astral Ship, Spectral Sewers, and Manic Metropolis

    • *Portal becomes available after finishing one regular run

  • Once in a challenge, you begin in the Shop where you will pick a Flex and Hex combo which gives you both a powerful enhancement and a curse. In Online Multiplayer, you will vote as a group on which one to select.

  • Next, Shop with the Chairman to select powers and upgrades that make the best use of your Flexes and Hexes. Remember to use those Lucky Dice!

  • Combat will get progressively more intense as you and the enemies will Level Up after each encounter

  • Progress through more encounters, shop rooms, and minibosses before getting to the final boss of the Challenge!

  • Arcade Mode will continue to provide Dragon and Dreamer coins to supplement purchasing upgrades to help you in later Challenges as well as our standard Campaign runs.

  • Artifacts are disabled in this Mode


NEW STORY

The new Arcade Mode comes with a brand new story– Metalhead has accidentally caused rifts across NYC, and must work with the Turtles to fix it! Completing each challenge progresses the story.

UPDATED LEVELS

In addition to the new levels created for the Game Mode, many of the Campaign levels have had an updated art pass to improve textures and composition.

NEW ENEMY TYPE: ASTRAL WRAITH

  • There are 4 variations and 3 elemental types of the Astral Wraith to encounter within Arcade Mode for a total of 12 combinations:

  • The 3 elements that can appear across all variations are:

    • Ooze - Ooze attacks will slow your movement speed

    • Flame - Flame attacks will do damage over time

    • Utrom - Utrom attacks apply Guard Break

METALHEAD

Metalhead is our newest playable character, and he comes with all ranged attacks! He can be unlocked by purchasing the DLC and completing one run on your save.

Metalhead’s abilities are as follows:

  • Attack combo - fire shots from his blasters, culminating in a large blast

  • Special - Fire a bevvy of homing missiles at enemies

  • Tool - Deploy 3 mines around you that explode on enemy contact


Metalhead’s Masteries are as follows:

  • Dash Attack is a Final Strike.

  • Gain invulnerability for a set amount of time after activating Special.

  • Increase movement speed during Special.

  • Increases base Special Missiles damage.

  • Final Strike projectile moves slower, but has a bigger explosion area.

  • Do additional damage to Bosses, MOUSERs, and Super Soldiers.

  • Gain additional Elemental damage for each Robotics power acquired.


ARTIFACTS

This release comes with one free Artifact in support of the Robotics Powers tree, and 5 new Artifacts as part of the Metalhead Character DLC. All are unlocked after owning one other Artifact and entering the Home Lair.

  • Positronic Motherboard (base game) - Increased Double Select chance when selecting Robotics powers. Guarantees your next Power Selection is of the Robotics category.Mysterious Gofu

  • Mysterious Gofu (DLC) - Gain a random Tool at the start of each Chapter. (Tool level depends on the artifact level)

  • Giant Tusk Fragment (DLC) - You can't heal. Gain a lot of additional Dragon Coins.

  • Kitsune's Cup (DLC) - You can't heal. Gain a lot of additional Dreamer Coins.

  • Cracked Stasis Beacon (DLC) - You're much slower. If you beat a Boss while carrying this, gain a large amount of additional Scrap.

  • Clan Hamato Seal (DLC) - Gain one splinter revive. Splinter's Revive restores additional Health.

ROBOTICS POWERS

  • Robotics Powers are a brand new Power tree for players to experience as part of the free update.

    • The Positronic Motherboard Artifact will help guarantee seeing these powers quickly in game.

  • Early Robotics Powers add a base “charge” ability that automatically grants a buff or attack, and over time other powers focus on enhancing it throughout the course of the run.

  • There are also some additions that are complementary to other styles of play by enhancing Scrap, Coins, or other resources earned.

  • Quick Study, Biomechanical Speed, and Shocking were previously part of the Utrom tree, and have been moved to Robotics

  • Utrom Battery, Charged Up, and Utrom Relay are new powers added to the Utrom tree to replace the ones that were repurposed

  • There are also 2 new Drone tools that both passively and actively damage enemies


Robotics Powers are:

  • Blade Matrix - After reaching full charge, attack to deal damage in an area around you.

  • Laser Strike - After reaching full charge, attack to shoot a laser that deals damage and ricochets.

  • Overdrive - After reaching full charge, attack to enhance all your attacks with Utrom damage for a set time.

  • Wireless Charging - Dashing through an enemy fills your Special for a set time (does not stack).

  • Survival Matrix - If you're below 50% HP, your Special and Tool charge faster

  • Challenge Seeker - Get Scrap when you go into a Gauntlet Challenge or Shimmering Portal.

  • Spare Bot - Gain +1 Splinter Revive. Splinter Revive heals more.

  • Regular Customer - Whenever you reach a Store, gain +1 Lucky Dice and Scrap.

  • Quick Study - Gain Charge Speed.

  • System Calibration - Whenever your Charge Effect activates, gain Charge Speed.

  • Charge Attacks - Whenever you Attack, gain Charge.

  • Thunderheart - You take no damage from Lightning Storms. Whenever you're hit by Lightning, gain Charge.

  • Power Surge - Whenever you use a Tool or Special, gain Charge.

  • Synthetic Rush - Whenever you activate your Charge Effect, gain Adrenaline.

  • Biomechanical Speed - Whenever you activate your Charge Effect, gain Special.

  • Empowerment - Whenever you activate your Charge Effect, gain elemental damage for all attacks for that Room.

  • Compound Interest - Whenever you enter a room, gain 2% more Scrap.

  • Aggressive Savings - The more Scrap you have, the more damage you deal.

  • Ascendancy - Whenever you trigger a Splinter revive, refresh your Cooldowns and gain Elemental Damage.

  • Photon Lance - After reaching full charge, attack to cause a lightning bolt to fall dealing damage.

  • Last Stand Protocol - The lower your HP, the higher your Charge Speed.

  • Shocking (Legendary Utrom Combo) - Gain Static Charge, filled by Utrom Damage. Once fully charged, your next Special deals Utrom damage and Stuns nearby enemies for a set time.

  • Critical Flow (Legendary Flame Combo) - Whenever you activate your Charge Effect, gain Critical Hit Chance for this room.

  • Cascade Drive (Legendary Water Combo) - Whenever you activate your Charge Effect, gain Multihit Chance for this room.

  • Attack Drone - Fires a missile on Final Strike. When Activated, fires 10 Missiles over 2 seconds.

  • Utrom Drone - Fires chain lightning on Final Strike. When Activated, fires 5 chain lightning over 5 seconds.


New Utrom Powers:

  • Utrom Battery - At the start of each Room, fill your Tool faster for a set amount of time.

  • Charged Up - Gain stack(s) of Adrenaline upon using your Tool.

  • Utrom Relay - Using your Special or Tool causes a Lightning Strike that deals damage.


BUGS FIXED

  • Fixed an issue with Casey’s Portrait artifact failing to work correctly after defeating a boss

  • All players may now access the unlockable reward selection if Player 1 has it unlocked in Couch Co-op

  • Fixed an issue with Shuriken enhancements being offered while Smoke Bomb is equipped

  • Fixed an issue with Splinter’s Revives getting reset while Dark Star is equipped

  • Fixed a few different issues with VO not playing or mismatched VO

  • Fixed a few places where players could dash out of bounds

  • Alternating Current now does the appropriate amount of damage

  • Ancestral Guardian and Revved Up powers now appropriately require other powers as prerequisites

  • Fixed a variety of crashes

  • Fixed various minor UI alignment issues

  • Fixed a few graphical issues
